There are cycles in every sphere of life. In science, there are cycles in physics, biology, and astronomy. In psychology, there are cycles in our emotions, brain activity, and various behaviors. In history, there are cycles in wars, and in politics, there are cycles. In economics, there are cycles that determine business success, personal wealth, and national security.
Even the human body has cycles called chronobiology," orbiorhythms, or "biological clocks." We see evidence of cycles everywhere.
We see evidence of cycles in nearly every aspect of life. If you look at the rings around trees they will give evidence of cycles. Strange things are determined by the cycles of the moon that cause the tides to rise and babies to be born, and nearly anything that flows seems to flow faster.
There are geological cycles that determine earthquakes, volcanoes, and sediment deposits.
The solar system has cycles in the paths of the planets around the sun and how the planets rotate on their own day and night.
Even the seasons have a cycle. If there is a spring, there will be a summer, a fall, and definitely a winter. Everything seems to come in cycles.
Blessings seem to come in cycles, as well. Usually, we call them "seasons." We have seasons of bounty and we also have a few dry seasons. They come, and they go. When our season of trouble comes, we find comfort in knowing that trouble don't last always, and we praise God.
When our season of joy comes, we praise God.
In everything, regardless of the season, we give thanks.
