How many ways can you say thank you for the harvest?
If you were in Mexico you would say, Gra-ci-ous.
If you were in Germany you would say,Dan-Ka and Mercee is what the
French would say.
Celebration is biblical. Especially celebration of the
harvest.Whenever believers looked back upon what God did for them they
celebrated.
When Abraham secured a wife for his son Isaac there was a celebration.
When Moses announced that after 400 years that Israel would finally
leave Egypt; there was a celebration.
When Joshua led Israel into the Promised Land which flowed with
opportunity like milk and honey, there was a celebration.
When David finally secured the return of the Ark of the Covenant
to Israel he was so happy that he celebrated by dancing nearly naked in the
street.
At harvest, when the reapers bring in the fruits of their labor
they all expressed heartfelt emotions thatlooked at the sum total of the
harvest with humility and gratitude.
We have
labored in the fields for the master. It is a time of celebration! Our greatest
joy is to enjoy the fruits of our labor as the reaping begins. We have shed
tears, but they become tears of joyas see the fruits of our labor. To God
be the glory for the things He has done.
