The bible tells us that God loved the world so much that he sent his only begotten son to offer salvation. In the past he sent Moses, Elijah, Samuel and many other great prophets, all with a message of reconciliation. When he ran out of remedies to resolve the issues of the world, as a last resort, he sent his Son to the world to bring the gift of eternal life.
   As Christians, we are eternally thankful to God for the gift of his Son. The wise men brought him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh, but he brought the world the opportunity for eternal life; that's the greatest gift of all.
