We spend six months of our lives waiting for the traffic light to turn green. "Ain't nobody got time for that!"
We spend eight months of our lives reading junk mail: "Ain't nobody got time for that?"
We seem to lose a lot of time doing a lot of useless things, such as waiting in line, being held on hold, and waiting for water to boil. There is so much time loss that many feel like Sweet Brown and say, "Ain't nobody got time for that!"
Is it possible that there are some who say the same things about God, the church, and Christian living?
Someone says we should say a prayer before we eat our food, then someone answers, "My lunch break is only 30 minutes. “Ain't nobody got time for that!" Someone else says we should attend worship regularly and attend bible study regularly and someone answers, "Ain't nobody got time for that!" Is it possible that when God says wait until you are married to have sex, someone answers, "Ain't nobody got time for that?"
While Sweet Brown's colloquialism is popular, it is an indicator of growing feelings among many people who have little time for anything that does benefit themselves.
We should be grateful that heaven doesn't subscribe to Sweet Brown's website. If so, when we called on God to tell him our problems, we might get the answer, ""Ain't nobody got time for that!"
As Christians, we are grateful that God is never too busy to hear us and answer our call. We have decided to use all of our time living for him and expanding his kingdom.
