Has anyone ever told you that you couldn't accomplish a goal? Sometimes our friends have a tendency to doubt our capacity to do great things because they think they know us. When tell them about our dreams to become lawyers, doctors, educators or other lofty areas of profession requiring skill or special training, they often listen to us but are privately amused because they think that we're fooling ourselves into believing that these things are possible.
Often in their conversations with us they tell us that we have very little chance of succeeding or accomplishing our goals because the odds are against us they often remind us how poor we are or they point to our humble origins and the fact that perhaps we were not born with the affluence necessary to accomplish certain goals.
If we're not careful we would listen to what they say to us and limit our possibilities to what our associates consider to be attainable objectives.
