Have you ever thought about what it really means to step out on faith?
Many people use the term loosely to mean that they are not quite sure about what they are doing, but they are doing it.
Others take the phrase to mean that they are undertaking a venture with an unknown outcome. While each of these circumstances clearly points to evidence of stepping out on faith, they do not mean that one is stepping out on faith in God.?
To step out on faith in God means that we are taking a direction in life that has been inspired or revealed to us by God himself. It is not something of our choosing but rather something of God's choosing. If God reveals a path for us to take, especially one that will carry us through uncharted waters, we are stepping out on faith when we move in that direction. However, if the path we take is our own conjecture, we may be stepping out, hoping that God will bless something that is our will but may not be His will.
When we step out on faith we should be sure that we are stepping out to achieve his will. If that is the case he will empower you to succeed in his name.
