Q: How do I enroll in the online study courses?

A: The online study courses are available with NO TUITION to all subscribers of sermonideas.com. There are no textbooks to buy and no additional fees.

When you become a subscriber you are automatically enrolled as a student. When you login you click on the online classes button and begin a course.

When a course is complete you receive a certificate of completion. When all of the courses in a curriculum are complete, you receive another certificate suitable for framing.

Q: How long does it take to complete the online study course?

A: The online classes are self guided; that means that you can move at your own pace. You can complete a course in a few days or few months, it's up to you.

A course consists of reading the online materials, writing the reports and passing the quizzes associated with the course. The length of time is totally dependent on your available time.

Your progress is stored with your account information and can be resumed whenever you have the time.

Q: When I answer a question will I know the results?

A: When you file an assignment it is automatically emailed to our staff. It will be accepted or denied. If your assignment is denied you will get an explanation. You can then make the adjustment and resend your report. You can only take quizzes after the assignments for the class have all been accepted.

Q: Do you accept credit cards?

A: We accept: MasterCard, Visa, Discover and Nova. Our online system does not accept American Express. However, our office can process your order by phone or mail using your American Express card.

Q: If I enter my credit card information into your system is it secure?

A: Your credit card information is Encrypted (scrambled) in a way that it cannot be lifted once it is sent to us. On our home page you will see a button in the bottom corner that indicates that sermonideas.com is a secure site and that information transferred is encrypted. You can click on that button and more information will be available to you about the security of your information.

Q: My credit card was charged twice for the same item. What's wrong?

A: If your credit card shows a double charge for the same item, it means that you click the "Click to pay" button more than once.

To avoid this problem only click once.

To get a refund for your double charge call our office.

Q: Is there an IPad App for the sermon ideas website?

A: A general app that links your iPad to our website is "Sermon Ideas for IPad."

There is also a sermon builder app for the IPad. It allows you to build sermons from your iPhone or IPad then email them to yourself, or post to your Evernote or Google Documents accounts.

Both are free apps that are expandable and available from the Apple App Store.

Q: When I try to browse categories or lists using my IPad the lists won't scroll. I swipe with my finger, but nothing happens

A: To scroll lists on the IPad you must use TWO fingers. Otherwise nothing happens.

Q: I tried to login and my password was not recognized.

A: You will not able to login if any of the following situations apply:

1. You misspell either your email address or password. Solution: Retype them correctly.

2. Your subscription has expired. Solution: Renew your subscription online. If you feel there is an error, call our office a 1-800-347-6019.

3. Your card was declined. Solution: Call our office to get your password reactivated. If you choose to renew online, be sure to use a different credit card.

4. Your account has not be activated. Subscriptions can take as long as 24 hours to be activated. Subscriptions paid by check are activated after the check clears, which could be as long as five business days. Since our offices close on the weekend, subscriptions made over the weekend may not be activated until Monday mornings. Often a call to our office or an email using our contact us button, can alert us to your situation

Q: How can I receive notices of discounts and specials

A: You can receive text notices by enter your cell phone number and carrier at the following web address http://sermonideas.com/MassMail/Index.asp

You can also click on "Free Services" on our home page or sign up for newsletters on the home page. The newsletter provides you with helpful insights as well as discount information.

Q: Can I pay for my order with a check?

A: Yes. You will need to enter routing number from the bottom of your check and the account number.

Using a check does require you to wait until your bank clears your online check. It often takes a day or so, but we say five days to be safe.

When your check clears your order will be processed, you won't need to do anything else.

Q: How long does it take to receive my order?

A: If you select "email" as your delivery method, your order will be available for download instantly. Since most orders have at least five files associated with each item, it is quicker to download them. When your order is complete, you will receive a thank you message and a link to download instantly. If you like, however, we can send you an email with the files attached.

Q: I don't trust the internet. Can I call in my order?

A: You can call our office and make your order over the telephone Monday -Thursday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 Noon

Q: What is quick pay?

A: With quick pay you are able to make your orders quickly, without re-entering your credit card and address information each time.

You must register for the quick pay system. Give yourself a login name and password then your card information. This info is encrypted (scrambled) then stored on our system. The next time you order, you simply login and all of your card information automatically fills in for you.

In addition you can also see your order history with us in the quick pay section. You are not required to use quick pay; you can skip it and move straight to checkout.

Q: When I download my purchases, I see many copies of the same item, is this a mistake?

A: Your order includes several versions of the same sermon. You can tell the difference by the three letters at the end: TXT-Is a plain text version of your sermon that will work with any word processor, in case you don't use Microsoft Word.

DOC.-The sermon is formatted in a full sheet version in 12 point arial type with a 28 point bold headline. Usually in five sheets.

PDF-Your sermon is laid out in booklet form. You can cut the pages apart or fold them to fit inside of your bible. The titles are in color and the points are in bold letters.

PPT.- These are power point slides that have been keyed to the various points in the sermon. The transitions, fades and exits have already been prepared for you. Use these on your projector screen.

JPG.-This file can be used by the person who prepares your Sunday Bulletin. This the art work for a page in your Sunday Bulletin. It contains a photo, scripture and summary of the sermon you will be preaching. Give this file to your secretary, she'll know what to do with it.

MP3. - This file contains a couple of minutes of audio of Pastor Wright either closing or making a high point about the sermon.

Q: When I order can I open up my files on my IPAD?

A: Yes. Once you complete an online order, you given the option to click to download. The files can be viewed on an Ipad or Iphone.

Q: How can I get my sermons listed on Preach Radio?

Q: How do I get to the preach radio section so that I can hear the free sermons?

A: From the home page click on the "Free preaching 24 Hours/Day" button. The player will begin to play one the featured sermons. However, you can scroll down the list and select the sermon of your choice.

When your selected sermon finishes, the next sermon in the que begins unless you select a different title or exit the radio player.

Q: How do I use the promocodes to get discounts.

A: To use the promo codes for discount you should select your items and add them to your shopping cart. When you have selected all items that you want and you are ready to pay, "Click to pay" and this will take to a screen that will show you the items you have selected. Just above the "Grand Total" of your purchase you will see a block entitled "Promo Code." Enter the promo code word in this block. Your total will be recalculated after the promocode discount is applied.

Q: How can I read a sample sermon?

A: From the home page Click "Sermon Resources" then click "Sample Sermon."

Q: Is there a way I can read a few pages of a sermon to see whether I want it or not?

A: Once you have made it to the information page about the sermon you desire you will see a short summary of the sermon, and look at the art work that has been designed for you to use on your Sunday Bulletin.

You can click on the item labeled "Large View" and read the first page of the sermon.

In the New and Recommended sections on the home page you can review the first page of new sermons by clicking the "Preview Button." You can also hear a way that the sermon can closeout by clicking the "Listen" button. You will get about 2 minutes of audio that gives you a flavor for the way the sermon can be closed out.

Audio will start automatically when you are open the information page of a sermon you are reading. It can be stopped by clicking the square preceding the words "Audio powered by sermonideas.com"

Q: Can sermons in your volumes be copied into my word processor?

A: Yes. Open the volume on screen. Highlight the section that you want to copy. Open your word processor to a blank page and select "Paste."

You can also print from the volumes as well. Select print and indicate the page numbers that you want printed. Be sure to indicate the page numbers or your printer will attempt to print the entire volume.

Q: How can I find sermons by scripture or an ID number?

A: a. From the home page click on browse our catalog.

b. Click on "search our catalog by name or scripture"

c. Click on one of the alphabets that represents the first letter in the book of the bible you are seeking. It will open to show you all books of the bible that begin with the letter you entered.

d. Click on the word “scripture” and your list will be sorted to present them in order of the scriptures. If you click the word "ID" the list will be sorted by ID number.

Q: How do I locate a sermon in your collection by its title?

A: a. From the home page click on browse our catalog

b. Click on "search our catalog by name or scripture."

c. Click on the category heading "Product Title." The list in front of you will sort itself by sermon title. Remember sermons that by begin with a number such as "2 Legit to Quit" will come before those begin with Alphabets.

Q: How do I use the sermon builder to write my sermons?

A: The "Amazing Sermon Builder" is an exclusive sermon building tool that you will only find at sermonideas.com. Use it to brainstorm your sermon ideas in perfect seminary styled format. Using our database of introductions, scripture expositions, talking points and cross based closings, you can assemble the basic thoughts for your sermon quickly.

CHOOOSE A TOPIC: You will be able to choose from over 335 topics. A special dropdown box will allow you to pick the topic of your choice. Immediately you will see a list of possible introductions for that topic. Select the one you want and the "Amazing Sermon Builder" remembers.

CHOOSE A SCRIPTURE EXPOSITION: Next you can choose a scripture exposition for the text associated with the topic you selected. Immdediately you will see a full exposition of the scripture you selected. If it'ss what you want, select it and the "Amazing Sermon Builder" remembers.

CHOOSE TALKING POINTS: Use the points section to select several talking points, illustrations and other information to be added to your sermon. CHOOSE A CLOSING: Choose a closing associated with your topic, any category you choose or from a key word or phrase.
